MSFT has been pretty responsive in improving VSCode. The worktrees function is perfect for multi-agent coding. And the quality of VSCode's output is right on par with Claude Code. All that's left is for VSCode to adopt the tasks/subtasks model that other coding agents now have and I don't see the benefit of using anything else..
